How AdSnout Works
AdSnout uses a hybrid approach with both local and server-side processing:
- Initial ad detection happens locally in your browser
- Advanced analysis and AI insights are processed via our secure API
- We only send necessary data for analysis, not your full browsing history
- You control what data to export and share
Account Information (Pro Users)
If you upgrade to AdSnout Pro, we only collect:
- Email address for account management
- Payment information (processed securely by Stripe)
- Usage metrics for billing purposes (scan counts, not content)
Data Storage
AdSnout stores minimal data:
- Extension settings are stored locally in your browser
- Scan results are stored locally unless you choose to export them
- Pro account information is stored securely on our servers

AdSnout uses these third-party services:
- Chrome Web Store: For extension distribution
- Stripe: For secure payment processing (Pro users only)
